An Italian Parma ham salad can be transformed into a completely new dish by replacing just one ingredient. Instead of grapefruit, take fresh figs and the taste of the dish will change dramatically.
It is necessary
- - 200 g Parma ham
- - 150 g figs
- - 1 grapefruit
- - wine vinegar
- - arugula
- - 100 g cherry tomatoes
- - salt
- - olive oil
- - ground black pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the Parma ham into thin slices. Dip the cherry tomatoes in boiling water for a few minutes, and then carefully peel them off. Cut each tomato into four pieces.
Step 2
Choose one of the ingredients - figs or grapefruit. If you prefer figs, then cut them into three or four pieces. Peel the grapefruit and cut the pulp into small cubes.
Step 3
For salad dressing, use a mixture of olive oil, salt, pepper, and wine vinegar. To add a savory flavor to the dish, you can use chopped chili or dried paprika.
Step 4
On a plate, lay out the arugula, cut with a knife or torn by hand, in an even layer. Top with rolls of Parma ham, cherry tomatoes and grapefruit (figs). Season the dish generously with the pepper mixture. You can serve such a salad on the table as an independent dish or as an appetizer.
