Fish should be included frequently in the diet of both children and adults. It is nutritious and contains many beneficial substances. But frying it is undesirable, it is better to boil, stew, or cook a fish casserole in the oven.

- For the fish casserole:
- - 1 kg of potatoes;
- - 600 g fillet of pollock or pangasius;
- - 2-3 medium-sized bulbs;
- - 3 tbsp. rast. oils;
- - 70-100 g of mayonnaise;
- - 2-3 sprigs of parsley;
- - salt, pepper and dried basil.
- For homemade mayonnaise:
- - 150 ml of vegetable oil;
- - 1 raw egg;
- - 1 tsp ready-made mustard;
- - 1 tbsp. lemon juice;
- - half a teaspoon of sugar;
- - a quarter teaspoon;
- - spices to taste.

Step 1
We will cook a casserole with fish and potatoes. And grease it with mayonnaise. But purchased mayonnaise cannot be heated, because chemical additives turn into harmful substances when the temperature rises. Mayonnaise needs to be made homemade. It's not hard. Squeeze lemon juice, add salt, sugar and spices to taste. Pour vegetable oil into another deep container, then lemon juice with spices, put mustard and a raw egg. Do not stir, lower the blender and turn on for 10-20 seconds. The mixture will thicken. Homemade mayonnaise is ready.
Step 2
Now let's get down to the recipe for potato and fish casseroles. Rinse the potatoes, peel, cut into thick slices. Pour boiling water over and cook until tender.

In the meantime, take care of the fish: wash it and cut it into 1, 5-2 cm wide pieces. Place the fish in a bowl, season with salt and pepper, add basil and mayonnaise. Mix everything thoroughly and let stand for 10 minutes.

Peel the onion, wash, cut into half rings. Fry in hot oil over medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Refrigerate.
Step 5
In a greased fish casserole dish, place half the potatoes, cover with a layer of fried onions, then place the fish. You can leave a few pieces of fish to decorate the top of the dish.

Cover everything with a layer of potato, brush with homemade mayonnaise, garnish with shelled fish. Place the fish casserole in the oven at 180 ° C for 30-40 minutes. When the crust appears, the dish is ready, take out the casserole, cut into portions, sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve.
