White Nights salad with meat

To prepare the White Nights salad with meat, you will need the following products:

- 200 g of pickled mushrooms;

- 300 g of boiled meat;

- 2 heads of onions;

- 2 potatoes;

- 1 carrot;

- 250 g of hard cheese;

- lemon;

- greens (dill or parsley);

- vegetable oil;

- sour cream;

- mayonnaise.

The meat in this version of the White Nights salad can be replaced with boiled tongue.

First of all, separately boil the meat and potatoes in their skins and refrigerate.

Chop the pickled mushrooms with a knife and transfer to a deep salad bowl. Peel the onions, cut into thin half rings and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Then cool the onion and place in a salad bowl on top of the mushrooms.

Mix sour cream with mayonnaise in the proportion you like best. If you like a spicy sauce, add more mayonnaise, and if softer, sour cream should prevail in the dressing.

Spread the prepared sauce on a layer of pickled mushrooms and fried onions.

Peel the potatoes boiled in their skins, grate them on a coarse grater and place them in a salad bowl in the next layer. Then coat it well with the sauce.

Peel raw carrots, also grate and place on top of the potatoes.

Cut the meat cooked in salted water into small cubes, put the next layer of salad, brush with sauce and sprinkle with cheese grated on a coarse grater on top.

Garnish the White Nights salad with chopped fresh herbs and lemon wedges before serving.

To prepare the White Nights salad with chicken, you need to take:

- 200 g chicken fillet;

- 100 g of hard cheese;

- 1 head of onion;

- 1 apple;

- 2 eggs;

- 100 g of pickled mushrooms (champignons);

- salt;

- mayonnaise;

- sour cream.

Wash the chicken fillet and boil in salted water. Then cool and cut into small cubes.

Hard-boiled eggs, cool under running cold water. Then separate the yolk from the protein and grind the yolks with mayonnaise until smooth, and grate the whites on a coarse grater.

Peel the onions, cut into thin half rings and fry in vegetable oil until transparent.

Cut the marinated champignons into small slices, and the cheese and apple into small cubes.

Make a salad dressing. To do this, mix sour cream and mayonnaise in equal proportions.

If desired, the White Nights salad with chicken can be garnished with slices of fresh cucumbers and tomatoes.

Transfer the prepared ingredients to a deep salad bowl: chicken fillet, fried onions, pickled mushrooms, yolks pounded with mayonnaise, apple and cheese. Add the prepared dressing and mix everything thoroughly. Sprinkle grated egg whites over the salad.
