It is necessary

  • For the gingerbread dough:
  • - 3 yolks;
  • - 700 g flour;
  • - 140 ml of milk;
  • - 175 g butter;
  • - 175 g of dark brown sugar;
  • - 1 teaspoon of baking soda;
  • - 1 tablespoon of ground ginger;
  • - 3 tablespoons of light molasses (light honey);
  • For decoration:
  • - cotton candy (for "smoke");
  • - two thick colored sugar sticks;
  • - sugar in the form of shiny crystals;
  • - ready-made white and green sugar icing (royal icing);
  • - small multi-colored sweets (M & M's, gummies);
  • - small white chocolate stars, chocolate round pads;

Instructions

Step 1

Make gingerbread dough. Heat the honey (molasses) until the crystals dissolve, and then cool to room temperature. Whisk the softened butter and sugar into the fluffy cream in a large bowl. Then, while whisking, add the yolks one at a time. Sift flour with soda and ginger, pour in milk, honey (molasses).

Step 2

Mix thoroughly until smooth. Dust the work surface with flour and knead the soft dough, gently squeezing the mass with your fingers. Divide the finished dough into six equal pieces. After dusting the table with flour, roll each part of the dough into a layer 5 mm thick. Place two halves of the gingerbread house on a baking sheet. Use a sharp knife to cut the rolled out pieces of dough to the size of each part of the mold.

Step 3

Transfer the appropriate parts to a silicone lodge mold and press firmly all over the dough so that the patterns of the windows on the walls of the lodge and the tiles on the roof are imprinted on it. Bake in oven at 180 ° C for 15 minutes until tender. After taking out the baked gingerbread pieces from the halves of the mold and transfer to cool on a wire rack. Apply white frosting from a piping bag to the sides and bottom of the house.

Step 4

Assemble the gingerbread house. Having placed the walls of the house on a silver board, press them together with the edges lined with glaze. Fasten the parts by pressing down on all sides with cans, leave for an hour until the glaze completely hardens. Spread another glaze over the top edge of the sidewalls and the roof ridge to set up the roof panel.

Step 5

Glaze the chimney pieces to the roof slope. Place the white icing sugar over the edges of the tiles with a pastry pen. Spread the glaze along one of the edges of the door and glue it to the corresponding hole in the house as if it were ajar. Place the house in a cool place overnight to harden the frosting.

Step 6

Decorate the house. Place the white icing sugar from a pastry bag down the edges of the roof panels, making them look like icicles. Attach multi-colored identical sweets to the upper joint of the roof and on the sides, along the ridge of the roof. Spread the frosting over the top of the chimney in the form of snow. Insert a fluffed piece of cotton candy into the pipe, simulating smoke.

Step 7

Using a small sharp knife, cut out neat pieces from the gummies or jelly in the shape of the recesses in the window frames and glue them with drops of glaze in place of the glasses. Attach large oblong pieces of marmalade (jelly) under the lower windows.

Step 8

Decorate the windowsills with a confectionery handle with white glaze, and green icing for window frames and binders. Attach a colored, small piece of candy to the door in the form of a handle. Spread the snow with white icing over the top of the windows, on the door, and along the top and bottom of the shutters.

Step 9

Cover the entire free area of the board around the house with all white icing sugar, lifting it up slightly with a spatula, like snow drifts. Lay out a lane of chocolate pads. Sprinkle the "snow" with small white chocolate stars and shiny sugar crystals.

Step 10

Place green and white icing on gingerbread bushes, sprinkle with sugar crystals and place near the house. Place the decorated house in a cool, dry place until the glaze solidifies.
