The oriental sweetness is based on honey, sugar and whipped proteins. Light egg dough combines with nuts and turns into a delicate dessert that melts in your mouth. Enjoy it with fragrant tea.

Prepare sweet nougat for tea. It will need a minimum of ingredients, these are:

- honey - 100 g;

- proteins - 3 pcs.;

- sugar - 390 g;

- water - 50 ml;

- almonds or hazelnuts - 270-300 g.

Soak the kernels in boiling water for one minute. Drain the water, cool the nuts slightly, peel them off. If not removed, it will taste slightly bitter in the nougat.

Next, dry the kernels over low heat in a skillet without oil or in the oven.

Put sugar and honey in a saucepan with a thick bottom, add water. Boil the syrup, stirring occasionally, over low heat until it starts to stretch. You can check the readiness like this: drip the syrup on a saucer, if the drop does not spread, it is ready. This usually takes 8-12 minutes.

In parallel with the caramelization process, beat the cooled proteins into a thick foam. Then pour the syrup into them in a thin stream and continue to beat. The mass will become more elastic and thicker. Beat it for another 7 minutes, then move on to the next step.

Line the rectangular shape with cling film, sprinkle with sugar. Put the nuts in the protein mass, mix gently. You can experiment by adding a little cherry or black currant there.

Put the mass in a mold, which must be sent to the refrigerator for 2 hours, after which the nougat is ready. It is cut into pieces and savored with green or black tea.
