Onion biscuits are non-standard pastries, but delicious. Suitable for tea drinking, as a light lunch snack. These cookies can even be served with cold beer.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - 3 glasses of flour;
- - 200 g butter;
- - 2 eggs;
- - 0.5 sachets of baking powder.
- For the onion mixture:
- - 2 onions;
- - 3 cloves of garlic;
- - salt, black pepper.

Step 1
Peel the onions and garlic, chop finely. Season with salt and pepper to taste, leave for 15 minutes. You can add something of your own to the onion mixture, for example, chop up fresh herbs, make it spicy by adding fresh chili, and so on. There are many options.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to the 180 degree mark. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance to soften, mix with eggs, add flour and baking powder for the dough. Knead the cookie dough with these ingredients.
Step 3
Cover the baking sheet with baking paper, line the dough in a layer about 7-8 mm thick, top with the onion mixture, pressing it more firmly into the dough and pressing it against the baking sheet. Carefully immediately cut into diamonds or 4x4 cm squares. Place the baking sheet in the oven.
Step 4
Bake the onion cookies at the indicated temperature for about 40 minutes. The cookies should be well browned. You can serve immediately hot, but it is better to let the baked goods cool, then carefully transfer the cookies from the baking sheet to the vase. The biscuits remain flavorful and taste good for several days.
