It is necessary

  • - icing sugar 80 g
  • - butter 160 g
  • - egg 2 pcs.
  • - flour 320 g
  • - baking powder a quarter tsp
  • - apples 370 g
  • - half a lemon
  • - sugar 75 g
  • - vanillin
  • - water 50 ml
  • For decoration:
  • - apples 2 pcs.
  • - half a lemon
  • - apricot jam 100 g
  • - water 30 ml

Instructions

Step 1

Put butter and icing sugar into a bowl for whipping. We begin to mix by setting the mixer at low speed. Gradually, you need to increase the speed and beat until the mass becomes fluffy and white.

Step 2

Add a couple of eggs to the beaten butter one at a time and mix well again. When the consistency of the mass becomes homogeneous, add flour and baking powder to it. All ingredients of the butter dough are mixed at a low mixer speed.

Step 3

Then, with our hands, we collect the dough into one lump and form a kind of cake or disk out of it. We wrap the disc with foil and place in the refrigerator for half an hour. After this time, the dough is removed and rolled out to form. The rolled dough is put back in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Step 4

While the dough is cooling, we proceed to preparing the apple compote. To do this, peel the fruit and cut into small equal pieces. To prevent the apples from darkening, they must be sprinkled with lemon juice.

Step 5

Take a small ladle and mix the sugar and a little water in it. Place the ladle on the stove and turn on a small fire. Add chopped apples and vanilla sugar to it.

Step 6

Then the ladle is covered with a lid and its contents are cooked over low heat for about 20 minutes. Do not forget to stir it from time to time. In twenty minutes, the liquid should boil away, and the apples should become soft. Transfer the finished filling to another dish and let it cool.

Step 7

We preheat the oven to 180 degrees. We peel the apples and cut them very thinly, the thinner the better. Sprinkle the slices with lemon juice so that they do not darken.

Step 8

We spread the filling on the base of the tart. On top, nicely and neatly lay out the apple slices. In a round shape and should be laid out naturally in a circle. The tart is placed in a preheated oven and baked for about an hour. The dough itself should turn golden, and the apples should be baked and browned.

Step 9

Remove the finished tart from the oven and allow to cool. In the meantime, we make the glaze: mix the apricot jam with 30 ml of water and put on fire. We keep on the fire for only a minute, only so that the jam warms up and becomes less thick. Then we pass the jam through a sieve and cover the tart with it with a brush.
