Pour flour, salt and yeast into a bowl. Add 600 ml warm water and knead the dough. Knead on a floured surface for 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and firm.

Form a ball and place in an oiled bowl. Cover with a wrap oiled with vegetable oil and leave warm for 1 hour, until it doubles in size.

Knead the dough for another 5 minutes. Cut into 12 pieces and shape them into round buns. Cover and leave to rise for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 230 ° C. Place the buns on a baking sheet and make a cross-cut in each. Brush with milk. Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 190 ° C and bake for another 30-35 minutes, until the crust is lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack.
