Any homemade drink is always healthier than any store bought. At home, a drink can be prepared literally from one or two fruits. It can be an apple, pear, quince or a handful of berries that are in the house and a bag of hibiscus drink.
It is necessary
- - 1-2 apples
- - 2 sachets of hibiscus
- - sugar to taste
- - lemon zest, cinnamon, vanillin to taste and desire
- - 1.5-2 l of water
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the apple well and cut into small pieces. You can take absolutely any apples that you have at the moment, the drink will not suffer from this. If you don't like apple skins, you can take them off.
Step 2
Place the apple pieces in a pot of water. Do not pour a lot of water, 1.5-2 liters is enough if you, for example, have only 1-2 apples. Bring the fruit and water to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Prepare sugar. It should be filled in portions. The amount of sugar depends on the acidity of the apples and on your preference: how sweet drinks you like. Pour sugar into a saucepan and put a couple of hibiscus sachets. The hibiscus will give the drink a bright red color and additional acidity that should be taken into account. You may need to add sugar.
Step 4
Let the drink simmer. It takes 3-5 minutes for the drink to acquire a bright color. At this time, you can add lemon zest, cinnamon, vanillin to add flavor to the drink, but that's up to you.
Step 5
Turn off the fire. Let the drink stand for a while so that the apples settle to the bottom. Pour the drink into glasses.
Step 6
It can be served both cold and hot. A good drink with dessert, and in hot weather it will perfectly quench your thirst.
