  • - 0.75 cups butter softened
  • - 5 cups powdered sugar
  • - 0.75 cups finely chopped fresh strawberries

Instructions

Step 1

To prepare the cakes, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In the meantime, beat the butter and granulated sugar with a mixer, beat until medium thick. Gradually add the egg whites, whisking after each addition.

Step 2

Add baking powder to the sifted flour. Add the oil mass and a glass of water alternately, mix everything. then add vanilla and almond extract. Pour the resulting dough into a greased and floured cake mold. The dough must be divided into four parts, thus you get four cakes.

Step 3

The cakes must be baked at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes. You can check the readiness of the cake with a wooden toothpick, pierce the cake with it in the middle, if the toothpick is dry, then the cake is baked. After the cakes must be allowed to cool.

Step 4

To prepare the mousse, dissolve the gelatin in cold water and let it swell. Meanwhile, mix the strawberries and sugar in a blender until smooth. Put a mixture of strawberries and sugar on fire and bring to a boil, remove from heat. Add gelatin to the strawberries and stir constantly to dissolve the gelatin completely.

Step 5

Whisk the cream on low speed until foamy, then increase the speed and beat until soft peaks. Place the whipped cream in the strawberry mixture, mix until completely dissolved, cool. After spreading the mixture on the cakes, thereby collecting the cake, leave until thickened.

Step 6

For the glaze, beat the softened butter, then add the icing sugar and strawberry pieces. you should get a creamy mass with which we coat the cake around the edges. We use berries and edible flowers for decoration.
