It is necessary

    • 200 g millet;
    • 100 g butter;
    • 0.5 liters of milk;
    • 50 g raisins;
    • 50 g dried apricots;
    • sugar;
    • salt.

Instructions

Step 1

Take millet, put it in a large cup, pour cold water. Rub the cereal between your palms, drain the water. Repeat this procedure until the drained water is clear. After such washing, millet will not taste bitter.

Step 2

Pour hot water into a bowl of millet. Stir the cereal with a spoon. Drain the water.

Step 3

Rinse raisins and dried apricots with warm water, drain the water. Cut dried fruit into small pieces.

Step 4

Add raisins and dried apricots to the dish with washed millet, mix everything.

Step 5

Put millet with dried apricots and raisins in a clay pot. The mass should not take more than half the pot.

Step 6

Pour the milk over the contents until the pot bends. Do not try to fill the entire volume of the pot with milk, because it will overflow during cooking. Lubricate the inside of the crotch of the pot with butter. This will prevent the milk from escaping.

Step 7

Add salt and sugar to the pot to taste.

Step 8

Place the pot on a baking sheet with some water poured into it. Put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Cook for about 40 minutes (until golden brown). Stir the porridge gently from time to time. If the cereal is not yet boiled, but has already begun to stick to the walls and bottom of the pot, because the milk has boiled away, add some more milk to the porridge. After the porridge is cooked, disconnect the oven from the power supply, and leave the pot for 10-15 minutes in the oven to achieve the simmering effect.

Step 9

Season the prepared millet porridge with dried apricots and raisins with butter. Serve hot.

Bon Appetit!
