Shrimp pie is an original and delicious dish that will become a wonderful appetizer on a festive table. This dish is a must-try for all seafood lovers.
Base ingredients:
- Egg - 1 piece;
- Puff pastry (frozen) - 1 kg;
Filler Ingredients:
- Mayonnaise - 200 g;
- Shrimp - 700 g;
- Herbal salt;
- Sour cream - 50 g;
- Black pepper and chili;
- Dill - 1 bunch;
- Salmon caviar - 100 g.
For decoration, you need lemon slices, dill, cucumber circles.
Preparation:
- Place greaseproof paper in a baking sheet. Roll out the dough. Cut two circles out of it, using a plate as a template. Place the circles on a baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper. Pierce the dough with a fork. Apply a beaten egg to the dough. Set the dough aside for about 20 minutes.
- Then preheat the oven. The required temperature is 220 degrees. Bake the prepared circles for about 10 minutes. They should become brittle and slightly browned. Cool circles. They will be the basis for the pie. They can be prepared in advance and stored in a cool place (never in the refrigerator).
- Boil prawns with black peppercorns, salt and lemon. Cool the boiled and cooled shrimps and peel off the head and shell (leave some of the shrimps for decoration). Chop the shrimps for the filling with a knife. Mix sour cream and 150 g mayonnaise. Add pieces of chopped shrimp to the mixture. Season with dill, salt and two kinds of pepper (black and chili).
- Apply mayonnaise on one crust with a thin layer, put caviar, and distribute ready-made shrimps on top. Cover the structure with the second circle. Put the shrimp filling on top and garnish with the remaining whole shrimp, lemon slices, dill sprigs and cucumber cut into slices.
