Oyakodon is one of the popular Japanese dishes. It is a very original solution - an omelet with chicken and rice. In Japan, oyakodon is prepared both at home and in numerous eateries and restaurants.
It is necessary
- -Chicken fillet 350 gr
- -Rice round 200 gr
- - Suhari breading tempura 60 gr
- -Vegetable oil (for deep fat) 600 gr
- -Chicken broth 150 gr
- -Egg 4 pcs.
- -Soy sauce 60 gr
- - Bulb onion 100 gr
- -Green onion 10 gr
- - Flour 40 gr
- -Sugar brown 10 gr
- -Salt, pepper to taste
- In the kitchen you will need: a frying pan, a saucepan, a saucepan, or another saucepan, a cutting board, a knife, a spatula, and a paper towel.
- Cooking time is about 35 minutes.
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the rice, following the directions on the package, until the rice has absorbed all the water. Season with salt to taste.
Step 2
Pour vegetable oil into another saucepan or stewpan and set to warm. Beat one egg lightly (for batter). Three other eggs will be needed later for the omelet.
Step 3
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides. Dip first in flour, then in an egg and transfer to the breadcrumbs so that they cover the fillets with a dense even layer.
Step 4
Gently dip the breaded chicken into heated (but not boiling) vegetable oil and fry for about 10 -12 minutes until tender, turning occasionally.
Step 5
Peel the onions, cut into half rings. Heat some vegetable oil in a skillet and fry the onion for 3-5 minutes until soft and transparent, stirring occasionally.
Step 6
Pour half of the soy sauce, chicken broth and sugar into the fried onions. Bring to a boil and continue heating to dissolve the sugar and caramelize the onion.
Step 7
Remove the cooked chicken breast from deep fat, dip with a paper towel to get rid of excess fat. Cut across into several equal pieces and carefully place in the skillet over the onion.
Step 8
Beat the remaining 3 eggs and pour over the chicken. Cover and cook the omelet over low heat.
Step 9
Serve the chicken omelet over the rice and sprinkle with chopped chives. Optionally, you can dip the chicken in the remaining soy sauce or simply pour over the finished dish.
