Baked Shrimp in Tomato Sauce Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add finely chopped onion and sauté until softened for 3-5 minutes. Then add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Place the chopped tomatoes, bring the sauce to a boil, cover the pan, reduce heat and cook for 8 minutes.
