- - 2 yolks (if the eggs are medium, you will need 3 yolks).
- For filling:
- - 70 gr. cane sugar;
- - a tablespoon of flour;
- - a teaspoon of ground cinnamon;
- - 6 apples (about 1, 3 kg).
- For caramel:
- - 320 gr. cane sugar;
- - 85 gr. butter;
- - 350 ml heavy whipping cream.
Instructions
Step 1
Mix flour, salt and powdered sugar for the base.
Step 2
Add butter in slices. Mix it with flour and add the egg yolks.
Step 3
Knead the dough, cover it with foil and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Step 4
For the filling, mix sugar, flour and cinnamon.
Step 5
Cut the apples into thin slices and mix them with dry ingredients.
Step 6
Roll out the dough so that it completely covers the mold with a diameter of 22 cm, including the sides. Put the apples in the mold and send the cake to the oven (180C) for 75 minutes.
Step 7
At this time, we prepare caramel. Put sugar, butter and cream in a frying pan preheated over medium heat.

Stir until a nice and smooth caramel is obtained.
