A very simple sponge cake recipe with classic butter cream for lovers of a win-win combination of strong coffee and sweet chocolate!
It is necessary
- Sponge cakes:
- 150 g flour;
- 100 ml of milk;
- 100 ml of espresso;
- 25 g unsweetened cocoa powder;
- 200 g sugar;
- 1 egg;
- 6 g baking powder.
- Cream:
- 150 g butter;
- 200 g icing sugar;
- 60 g unsweetened cocoa powder.
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and prepare 2 round molds with a diameter of 22 cm, grease them with butter and lightly sprinkle with flour.
Step 2
Sift flour, baking powder, cocoa mixture into a large bowl. Add 200 g of sugar, stir.
Step 3
Pour milk, espresso into the mixture of dry ingredients; add an egg. Mix everything thoroughly, but quickly until smooth, preferably with a mixer, and then pour into prepared forms.
Step 4
Send the dough forms to the preheated oven for about half an hour. The readiness of the baking can be determined as standard: with a toothpick.
Step 5
Carefully remove the finished cakes from the molds and let them cool completely.
Step 6
In the meantime, you can prepare the cream. To do this, simply beat the softened butter with powdered sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
Step 7
Smear the cooled cakes with cream, cover the sides and top of the cake with it. You can also decorate the cake with chocolate or waffle chips, chocolate chip crumbs, nuts if you wish.
Step 8
Put the cake in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours - the cream should harden. Then you can serve.
