Lovers of homemade bread will be interested in baking not simple, but onion bread. Homemade bread tastes great, and onion loaf, fragrant, reminiscent of a pie stuffed with onions, is eaten instantly and finds many admirers.
To make onion bread, you will need the following foods:
- 300 g onions
- 3 tbsp. wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 egg
- A glass of milk
- 10 g dry yeast
- 20 g of refined vegetable oil and the same amount of unrefined
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- Salt to taste.
First, we put the dough. Add a teaspoon of sugar to the warmed milk, salt. Mix yeast with a spoonful of flour. Pour into milk, stir, leave to infuse for 20 minutes.
During this time, you can prepare the onion. Peel the onions, chop as small as possible and fry in vegetable oil until light golden brown.
If the dough begins to foam, we can assume that it is ready. Egg and sour cream, refined oil, onions are added to it. Everything is mixed, flour is gradually introduced. Knead a soft dough from the resulting mixture. When the dough seems ready, pour in the unrefined oil and knead again. Then let it rest for half an hour.
When it finally comes up, wrinkle the dough in a bowl, wait another quarter of an hour, wink again. Roll the resulting dough into a ball, give it the shape of a loaf, place on a baking sheet, previously oiled. You can also shape it into loaves, tortillas, or small round crispbreads.
To make the onion loaf ruddy, smear its top with vegetable oil. Leave it for a quarter of an hour to let the dough come through. Then place the bread in a heated oven and bake. When the top of the dough is golden brown, you can take it out. Hold the finished onion bread under a towel for a while, after which you can serve it on the table.
