I think many people have had a chance to eat apple pies or, for example, charlotte, but only a few know the Norwegian apple cake. This dish is distinguished not only by its amazing appearance, but also by its excellent taste.
It is necessary
- - flour - 300 g;
- - butter or margarine - 140 g;
- - sugar - 140 g;
- - eggs - 2 pcs.
- For filling:
- - apples - 10 pcs.;
- - juice of one lemon;
- - sugar - 5 tablespoons;
- - vanilla sugar - 1 sachet;
- - apricot jam - 2-3 tablespoons.
Instructions
Step 1
Chop the cooled butter finely with a knife. You can use margarine if you like. Add the following ingredients to the crushed butter: wheat flour, sifted beforehand, granulated sugar and raw chicken eggs. From the resulting mass, preferably using a mixer, knead the dough. When it's done, chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2
After core and peel the apples, drizzle with some freshly squeezed lemon juice. Then divide the fruit into 2 halves. Grind one of them to small pieces, and remove the other for a while.
Step 3
Transfer the crushed part of the apples to a clean, dry frying pan. Then add a packet of vanilla sugar, the remaining lemon juice, granulated sugar and half a glass of water to them. Put the formed mass on the stove and simmer for 10-15 minutes, that is, until all the liquid evaporates.
Step 4
Place the dough in a mold with a diameter of 25 centimeters, distribute it evenly over it.
Step 5
With the remaining apples, do the following: cut each into 2 pieces and gently chop into rather thin rings. Turn the resulting rings into halves.
Step 6
Place the apples stewed in a pan on the dough placed in a baking dish. Gently place apple slices on this mass. On top, grease the future cake with apricot cream and sprinkle it with granulated sugar or powdered sugar.
Step 7
Bake the dish in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for an hour and a half. Norwegian apple cake is ready!
