Braided meat will become a festive version of your regular chop. The dish looks very nice. It is quick and easy to prepare.
It is necessary
- - pork fillet - 500 g;
- - lemon - 1 pc.;
- - olive oil - 3 tbsp. l.;
- - salt - 0.5 tsp;
- - ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp;
- - long rice - 50 g;
- - sweet pepper (red and green) - 1 pc.;
- - onion - 1 head;
- - carrots - 1 pc.;
- - vegetable oil - 5 tbsp. l.
Instructions
Step 1
Preparing meat. Rinse the meat with water, beat off, cut into long thin (about 1 cm) strips. Combine olive oil with lemon juice (3 tablespoons), add salt and ground pepper. Dip the meat strips into this marinade and let sit for 20-30 minutes.
Step 2
After the meat is marinated, remove it from the marinade and braid a regular pigtail from three strips. Pin the ends with skewers.
Step 3
You can make a basket from other strips (as shown in the photo). To do this, take 4-5 strips of meat and place them parallel at some distance from each other. Take another strip and place it on top so that it goes under the first bottom strip, then over the second bottom strip, then under the third bottom strip, above the fourth bottom strip, and below the top heel. Take another 3-4 strips and in the same way weave them into the lower ones. Pin the ends with skewers.
Step 4
Fry the meat baskets and pigtails in vegetable oil on both sides until tender (5 minutes on each side). Remove the skewers.
Step 5
Side dish preparation. Rinse the rice and soak in cold water for 15 minutes. Cut the onion and pepper into small cubes. Grate the carrots. Fry the onions in vegetable oil until golden brown, then add carrots and bell peppers to the onions. Salt. Reduce heat and simmer vegetable mixture for 5-10 minutes.
Step 6
Drain the rice and place the rice over the vegetables without stirring. Add water if necessary so that the rice is covered with water. Simmer the garnish, covered, for 15-20 minutes (until the rice is done). Salt. Then stir the rice and vegetables.
Step 7
Put braided meat and some side dish on a serving plate, decorate the dish with fresh herbs.
