Sweet and sour sauces are very popular in oriental-style dishes. You can buy ready-made sauces, or you can make them yourself for a specific dish. For example, pork chops are delicious and unusual with homemade apricot sauce.
It is necessary
- - 4 pork chops (not very thick);
- - 30 ml of olive oil;
- - 120 ml of ready-made apricot marmalade or jam;
- - 30 ml of Dijon mustard;
- - 30 ml of apple cider vinegar;
- - a pinch of garlic powder;
- - 60 ml of water;
- - a pinch of salt and pepper.
Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the sauce: in a cup, mix the apricot jam (marmalade), Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder and water. We remove the sauce to the side.
Step 2
Heat olive oil in a frying pan. Pepper and salt the pork on both sides, fry in well-heated (but not steaming) oil. Fry the meat until tender and transfer to a plate.
Step 3
Reduce the heat and pour the sauce into the pan, stir it for 1-2 minutes, so that it thickens a little. Return the pork chops to the pan, heat a little and serve immediately with the sauce.
