If a lot of cherries are born, the housewives, having made the jam and closing the compote, begin to puzzle over where to put the remaining berries. Try homemade cherry liqueur - delicious and flavorful. A lot of effort will not be required from you, but the result will surely please you.
It is necessary
- - cherry - 1 kg;
- - granulated sugar - 400 g;
- - vodka - 0.5 l.
Instructions
Step 1
Loop over the cherries, removing the cuttings. You should not remove the pits from cherries, as they will give the liqueur a special aroma and taste. Pour the cherries into a glass bottle, sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Step 2
Tie the neck of the bottle with gauze so that insects do not get inside and the liqueur can "breathe". Place the bottle of cherries in the sun to allow the cherries to ferment properly. Rotate the bottle periodically during fermentation so that it is illuminated by the sun from all directions.
Step 3
After 6 weeks, drain and bottle the cherry juice. Close bottles with lids and store in a dark, cold place. At this point in the preparation of the liqueur, you should have a delicious, low-strength cherry drink.
Step 4
Pour the cherries remaining in the bottle with vodka, taking 0.5 liters of vodka per 1 kg of cherries. Place the bottle with cherries in any place convenient for you for infusion. The infusion process should take 6 weeks.
Step 5
Strain the finished liqueur and bottle. The strength of such a drink is usually about 10 degrees.
Step 6
If desired, combine the first and second batch liquors together. As a result, you will get a moderately sweet thick drink, the strength of which will be 5-7 degrees.
