Homemade apricot wine has a specific taste. With a low sugar content, this wine does not retain its aroma, often acquiring the smell of bitter almonds. It arises from the apricot kernels, which fall into the pulp, they contain hydrocyanic acid. So you cannot use unpeeled fruits with seeds for making wine.

For homemade wine, take either cultivated or wild apricots. The first ones will give a less fragrant, but sweeter drink, and the second varieties - on the contrary.

Recipe for making apricot wine No. 1

We will need:

- 2 kg of apricots;

- about 2 kg of sugar;

- 8.5 liters of water.

Wipe the fruit, peel it, fill it with warm water. Leave the mixture for four days to ferment, then mash the pulp into a pulp, add sugar. Leave the wine for another week.

After the end of gas formation, filter the wine, pour into bottles, leave to infuse for two months.

Recipe for making apricot wine No. 2

This recipe will make the wine more aromatic thanks to the nutmeg. If you wish, you can enrich the drink with other spices, for example, cinnamon or cloves.

We will need:

- 2.5 kg of apricots;

- 500 ml of grape wine;

- 1.5 liters of boiled water;

- 1.7 kg of sugar;

- 1/2 tbsp. tablespoons of nutmeg.

Peel the apricots, chop, fill with water (it should be warm), pour in wine, add nutmeg. Boil the syrup from water and sugar, add to the mixture. Leave the starter culture in a warm place for a week, stirring occasionally with a wooden spatula. Then filter the wine, leave to ripen for two months.
