Water is the basis of all life on Earth. Each of us has heard these words many times in our lives, but, for sure, not many have thought that water is not just a formula known to everyone from school, but a complex system with a certain composition and properties.
How to choose water? There are many tips that can help you choose this vital fluid. First of all, when choosing, everyone should be guided by taste, which directly depends on the composition of the water, or, in other words, on its salt content. From school, everyone knows that it is the presence of calcium and magnesium salts in water that ensures its rigidity, which visually makes itself felt in the form of scale on electric kettles, calcium deposits on dishes and plumbing fixtures. Drinking water with a high content of such salts will negatively affect the condition of your kidneys, more precisely, the presence of foreign bodies in them - sand or, much worse, stones. It would be logical to conclude that the water used for drinking and cooking should contain such salts in minimal quantities, which will make it taste softer. Bottled water is purified and has a completely different taste, that is, the content of various salts is minimized through the use of a filtration system. In terms of composition and taste, it is as close as possible to distilled. The use of such water for the preparation of various dishes is very versatile, since in this case there are no salts that can give one or another undesirable shade to the dish. But the use of completely demineralized water has a bad effect on the health of the person who uses it. Desalinated water has a peculiarity: when it enters the body, it interacts with the salts present, forming solutions that are excreted naturally. Everything sounds good if it does not apply to salts that ensure the normal functioning of the body, for example, potassium and sodium salts, the presence of which is necessary for the full functioning of the cardiovascular system. When choosing water, do not forget about its alkalinity (or acidity). As a rule, such an indicator is taken into account when choosing mineral waters used for the treatment of the gastrointestinal tract, and is practically not mentioned when choosing for everyday use. You can talk a lot about how to choose water, but the choice is yours! And it is up to you to decide which factors are of higher priority for you: taste, medicinal, or a reasonable combination of them!
