It is necessary

  • For the test:
  • - wheat flour - 600 g;
  • - kefir - 500 ml;
  • - soda - on the tip of a knife;
  • - salt - 0.5 teaspoon.
  • For filling:
  • - pumpkin - 650 g;
  • - sugar - 75 g;
  • - onions - 100 g;
  • - water - 1 tablespoon;
  • - salt - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • - ghee - 150 g.

Instructions

Step 1

After removing the seeds from the pumpkin, place it in a pot of water with the rind on top. In this form, set it to cook, covered with a lid, until it becomes soft.

Step 2

When the pumpkin is completely cooked, remove it from the water, then use a spoon to remove the rind from the surface. Mash the remaining pulp until puree. Add the following ingredients to the resulting mass: pre-chopped and fried onions, as well as salt, water and granulated sugar. Stir everything thoroughly until you get a mixture with a homogeneous consistency.

Step 3

After warming kefir in a small saucepan, mix it with wheat flour. Then add salt and baking soda there. Mix everything properly. Mix the resulting mass thoroughly. From the formed dough, dividing it into small identical pieces, roll up spherical figures. Turn each of them with a rolling pin into a layer, that is, into a cake.

Step 4

Put the finished filling on one of the edges of the cakes, then fix them carefully, covering them with the free side.

Step 5

Put the resulting pumpkin cakes 2 pieces in a dry frying pan and fry until cooked. After frying them, dip each one in hot water, then brush with melted butter.

Step 6

Place the finished dish in a dish wrapped in a tea towel and cover with a lid. Chechen flat cakes "Khingalsh" are ready! Serve them into small pieces.
