So the long-awaited pregnancy has come! New sensations, joy and, of course, responsibility for the unborn child. Many women are concerned about the question - how to eat now? And how much do you need to eat so that not only the mother, but also the child has enough nutrients?
It is important to remember, and all doctors agree with this, that you do not need to eat for two. A pregnant woman often has a good appetite, the main thing is to listen to the desires of her body. If you want something “salty,” “sweet,” you cannot deny yourself, but remember that everything is good in moderation. It happens that during this wonderful period, taste preferences change greatly and this is normal, perhaps earlier you did not receive some substances and now the body requires their replenishment.
Breakfast is very important. After all, breakfast starts the metabolism for the whole day. An excellent option is various cereals, with or without milk, with fruits or nuts. Many doctors do not recommend drinking coffee during the period of bearing a child, but if you really want to, then, of course, you can, though it's better with milk.
A separate topic is toxicosis. Most often, pregnant women are tormented by nausea in the morning. You can cope with it like this - nibble on crackers or bagels, or right after waking up, before getting out of bed, you can drink a glass of water, eat some dried fruit. Sometimes with toxicosis, you don't want to eat at all, but hunger will only make it worse.
Is it okay to eat fatty, spicy foods? In principle, you can, do not recommend it because it is fraught with unpleasant consequences - heartburn, stool disturbance, why do pregnant women need additional problems? You can eliminate heartburn with ordinary soda - half a teaspoon in a glass of warm water, a folk remedy that will not harm the child.
Bad habits must be abandoned. Alcohol is directly contraindicated during pregnancy, its use is fraught with a great risk to the health of the unborn baby. But sometimes even doctors allow a glass of red wine or half a glass of champagne, because often women "in position" suffer from headaches, and in this case the use of painkillers is contraindicated.
It should always be remembered that in the first and last two months of pregnancy, the fetus is most vulnerable. During these periods, food should be as light and healthy as possible. Normal weight gain is about 16 kg, 10 of which falls on the child and everything that surrounds him, so to speak. The rest are distributed throughout the body and go away in the first weeks after childbirth.
It is important to know that the biggest enemy of pregnancy is stress. If there is a choice between something harmful and deep feelings that you cannot eat it - do not worry! Pamper yourself during this wonderful period!
