More recently, soda with syrup for three kopecks from a vending machine, glass flasks in a children's park or in glass bottles was a real treat for taste. A home siphon for home gas water was considered a special luxury. Who doesn't want to share gastronomic memories with their child? There are a lot of carbonated drinks in stores now, but their composition leaves much to be desired. Try carbonating the water yourself.
It is necessary
-
- Siphon and carbon dioxide cylinder
- Cooler with carbonating water function
- Syrup or lemon juice
- Any fruit and berry juice or rosehip infusion
- A little soda
- citric acid and sugar
- Dry ice and plain ice cubes
Instructions
Step 1
Soda the water with a good old siphon. In it, water turns into a fizzy under pressure - carbon dioxide is pumped from a special cylinder. In older appliances, this process takes 20-30 minutes. If your siphon has been in your possession since Soviet times, buy a can of gas from a gun store. Consult with the seller: usually these cylinders are suitable for Soviet soda machines.
Step 2
Buy a modern siphon. Simpler devices carbonate the water for about 20 minutes. Apparatus for carbonating water have different degrees of carbonation, sometimes a whole range of syrups. Here is the Gazvoda mini-machine: insert a bottle of water into it, choose the desired taste and press the button. Delicious homemade pop is ready! True, this is an expensive pleasure. Siphons cost an average of 3, 5-4 thousand rubles (prices for 2011), more complex - about 13-15 thousand rubles.
Step 3
Install a water cooler with soda function in your kitchen. It quickly transforms tap water into pure soda. But such a miracle will pull 30-40 thousand. At the same time, this device will purify the water for you, heat it up or, conversely, cool it. Usually the gas cylinder from the kit lasts for a very long time.
Step 4
Make soda with any siphon and fill it with syrup. To do this, you can take jam or sweeten fruit and berry juice. A simple recipe for lemonade: dissolve a tablespoon of sugar in 50 g of lemon juice (based on 0.5 liters of water). Pour the syrup into a fizzy and add a piece of ice. You can also cool the drink in the refrigerator. Experiment! For example, make a fizzy from rosehip infusion: you get a fluffy foam (like beer) and an original taste.
Step 5
Make the simplest and cheapest soda. Mix 2.5 g of soda and citric acid in a glass of water, add 5 g of sugar and a little syrup. Instead of acid, sugar and soda can be stirred in 200 g of a mixture of lemon juice and water (1: 2). As soon as the alkali reacts with the acid and the first gas bubbles appear, throw ice into the glass and immediately drink lemonade.
Step 6
Use dry ice to carbonate your water. This is a rather exotic way of making homemade fizzy. this product is not easy to obtain. If you purchased some dry ice, do not put it in the refrigerator - it needs special storage conditions. Soda water immediately. Fill a quart jar with water and syrup and add a small dry ice cube to it. Never touch it with your hands to avoid injury due to too low temperature.
