If you want to make a mushroom dish, fry the oyster mushrooms. They are grown in a cultured way, so they are absolutely safe. In addition, oyster mushrooms are useful. They contain potassium, pantothenic and niacin.

Step 1

Choose fresh oyster mushrooms for frying. You should not buy mushrooms of a large size and with cracked edges of the caps. Quality mushrooms have a uniform blue-gray color. There should be no yellow spots on the cap. Break off a small piece from the cap. A young oyster mushroom has a juicy, white pulp, and an old one is fibrous. The mushroom should not crumble.

Step 2

Rinse the oyster mushrooms under running cold water; you do not need to peel these mushrooms. Dry on a paper towel and cut into medium-sized strips about 1 cm thick. Boiling oyster mushrooms before frying is optional. Peel and chop the onions into small cubes or small half rings. Heat vegetable oil over low heat and fry the onion in it for two minutes, stirring constantly. Together with the onion, if desired, you can fry the carrots grated on a fine grater.

Step 3

Pour the chopped oyster mushrooms into another skillet with boiling vegetable oil. For frying mushrooms, sunflower or olive oil is suitable. On average, it takes about 70 ml of oil to cook oyster mushrooms for 0.5 kg of mushrooms. When the mushrooms are warmed up, liquid will begin to stand out from them. Leave the mushrooms on the fire until all the water has evaporated. Do not cover the pan with a lid.

Add fried onions to oyster mushrooms, pour in sour cream. Mayonnaise can be used instead of sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir, reduce heat and fry mushrooms for about 15-25 minutes until golden brown. Throw the mushrooms in a colander to drain the excess oil. Sprinkle ready-made oyster mushrooms with finely chopped parsley, cilantro, dill or crushed garlic clove. But do not overdo it with spices, otherwise they will kill the taste of the mushrooms.

Serve vegetables such as mashed potatoes with fried oyster mushrooms. In addition, fried oyster mushrooms can be used for minced meat, fillings, sauces and as an ingredient in salads.
