  • - 300 g of fresh tomatoes;
  • - juice of half a lemon;
  • - 150-200 g of hard cheese;
  • - salt (to taste);
  • - pepper (to taste);
  • - parsley or dill;
  • - 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Instructions

Step 1

For this dish, choose a medium-sized flounder. Peel and wash the flounder and place in a saucepan. Season the flounder with salt and pepper on both sides. Sprinkle each fish with lemon juice. Place the lid on the pot and refrigerate for two to three hours to marinate.

Step 2

While the fish is marinating, prepare the tomatoes. Wash them, remove the skin and cut into small squares. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.

Step 3

Prepare a baking dish, grease it with vegetable oil. Remove the flounder from the refrigerator and place in the mold.

Sprinkle the surface of the fish with grated cheese, put the sliced tomatoes on a layer of cheese. Place the flounder in the oven and bake in it at about two hundred degrees for thirty minutes.

Step 5

After thirty minutes, remove the baked flounder from the oven and serve hot. Garnish with a slice of lemon, parsley or dill if you wish.

Flounder, cooked in the oven, can be served as an independent dish or with such types of side dishes as rice, mashed potatoes.
