The bars are great for a quick snack at work and can be taken with you on a picnic or on the road. Cook them in the oven. They are great in that you can cook a large batch for the whole week and not worry about preparing an afternoon snack. Try one of the recipes for granola bars.

Ingredients for cooking:

  • A glass of oatmeal;
  • Half a glass of dried fruits (prunes, dried apricots, raisins);
  • 2 tablespoons of honey;
  • 2 bananas.

If you deem it necessary, you can add flax or sunflower seeds to the mixture for making bars - 3 large spoons, fiber of any grind - the same amount, a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Preparation

Peel the bananas and roll with the oatmeal in a blender until smooth. Adjust the grind to your liking - to flour or any size chunks. You can also do this: grind part of the mixture into flour, combine with the rest, add bananas and cereals and puree all over again.

Add honey, fiber and seeds, cinnamon and dried fruits to the resulting puree. Knead the resulting dough until smooth, it should turn out thick and viscous. Take a baking dish, brush with butter, spread the dough inside. Tamp the dough more firmly, otherwise the finished bars will fall apart.

Bake for about 20 minutes in the oven at 170 degrees. The bars can be made crispy by leaving them there for a longer period, or you can get them soft. When cooking in this way, the bars should turn out to be dense on top, with a light golden layer, soft on the inside.

Take out the baking sheet with the baked mass, cut into pieces. Cool the finished bars. When cooking for a long time, you can store them in the refrigerator or for several days in the cupboard, just like cookies.
