In the meantime, the recipe for the classic version requires that there are no chemical additives in the composition and that butter is present. Of course, fats from butter can be replaced, for example, with fats from coconut or palm oils, but then the color and, most importantly, the taste of the product will suffer! And, as you remember, various chemical flavor enhancers and flavorings are prohibited …

If you come across a low-fat ice cream on the counter, then the product is made according to TU. Here, the composition contains vegetable analogs of fats, and flavoring and color additives. With such ice cream, you send trans fats into your body, which nutritionists around the world blame for the problem of excess weight and diseases of the heart and blood vessels! Coconut and palm oils are natural but contain saturated fatty acids. Of course, butter is also rich in them, but the saturated acids present in it have a beneficial effect on the body, especially on the hormonal system. Therefore, it may still be worthwhile to give preference to full-fat ice cream: try to eat half the glass, and send the rest to the freezer until next time. Or put a small ball in a bowl, but decorate it with a large number of fresh various fruits and berries!

But it is better for those who are losing weight to abstain from fruit ice, despite the fact that it does not contain fat! At its core, ice cream is a frozen soda analogy: water and sugar. And soda, as a source of carbohydrates that instantly raise blood sugar levels, is prohibited by any diet.

What about diet ice cream?

Usually, this ice cream contains very little fat, as it is made on the basis of yogurt. Good yoghurt ice cream does not contain artificial additives with the "E" index, but the composition will probably contain vegetable fat, which, you see, is not very useful for you. However, if you have certainly decided to pamper yourself, then it is better to opt for it.

Also, one cannot fail to mention ice cream with sugar substitutes. Most often, sorbitol and aspartame act as a sweetener, less often fructose. You can also occasionally afford such a dessert, but it must be remembered that a large amount of these sugzams can cause stomach upset. The norm is individual for everyone, but on average it is about 20 g, while 100 g of ice cream contains 13 g.
