Puff pastry pie with poultry and mushrooms under a cheese crust is a delicious homemade dish that will appeal to every family member. It does not require special preparation costs, and the result will certainly please with its excellent taste and wonderful aroma.
Ingredients:
- 500 g of purchased puff pastry (yeast);
- 500 g turkey (breast fillet);
- 300 g of any mushrooms;
- 2-3 chicken eggs;
- 150 g of hard cheese;
- 50 g of 15% sour cream;
- 25 g of poultry seasoning;
- salt and black pepper powder.
Preparation:
- Chop the turkey loin into random pieces (small) and put in a deep container.
- Break the eggs and separate the yolks from the whites.
- Add sour cream, seasoning and yolks to the meat, salt, pepper and mix thoroughly. Set aside to marinate for 2 hours.
- Cut the mushrooms into small pieces and fry in a pan until cooked. Then they should be cooled.
- Mix both parts of the filling in a common bowl: the marinated turkey meat and the fried mushrooms.
- Purchased puff pastry is usually very frozen, so you need to defrost it first, then roll it out, but not very thin.
- To bake the cake, take a round deep form, put the rolled dough into it and form a "plate" with high sides, that is, the dough layer will completely repeat the baking dish.
- Put all the filling on the bottom, cover the form itself with a piece of foil on top. Put in the oven for 25 minutes at 170 degrees.
- While the cake is baking, make the base for the cheese crust. Finely grate the hard cheese. Salt the whites from the eggs (a pinch of salt is enough) and beat with a mixer into a thick foam. Combine with finely grated cheese and stir.
- After the baking time has elapsed, take out the cake, remove the foil and spread the cheese-protein mixture on the filling. Bake again for 15 minutes (without foil) to brown the crust. Once the cake is baked, take it out of the oven, let it cool slightly and you can take it out of the mold.
