Oven-baked spaghetti has every chance of winning the "Original Pasta Dish" nomination. They can be prepared for lunch or dinner. By varying additional ingredients, you get both a hearty and a light dish.
Simple and unusual
When the usual spaghetti is completely boring, it's time to cook them in the oven. Add chicken meat, tomato juice, your favorite spices - and you get an original dish, something like a casserole. It will even be able to claim the title of "lazy", because nothing will have to be fried beforehand. You only need to tinker with slicing meat and tomato sauce.
Required Ingredients
You will need:
- 200-300 g of spaghetti;
- 200 g tomato paste;
- 200 g of chicken meat;
- 1-2 cloves of garlic;
- 1 tsp dry garlic;
- 1 tsp Sahara;
- 100 ml of water;
- 3-4 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
- salt and black pepper to taste;
- fresh herbs (parsley, dill or cilantro);
- favorite spices.
Instead of pasta, you can use tomatoes in their own juice. It would even be preferable. For a given amount of spaghetti, you need to take a can of tomatoes.
You can use meat from both thighs and chicken breast fillets. In any case, after languishing in a tomato, it will turn out juicy and melt in your mouth.
Step by step cooking
First step
First, prepare the meat. Cut it into cubes and season with dry garlic. Preheat the oven in parallel to 230 ° C.
Second step
If you decide to use not ready-made paste, but tomatoes, peel them off and mash with a fork until puree. Add juice from a can, water, vegetable oil, garlic cloves passed through a press, sugar, salt, ground pepper, your favorite spices to the pulp and mix - the spaghetti sauce is ready.
Third step
Place the spaghetti in a baking dish, preferably ceramic or glass. If it is shorter than pasta, then boldly break them in half. You can, of course, use pre-cooked spaghetti. Then reduce the baking time to 15 minutes.
Lay the chicken on top and pour the sauce evenly over. Cover the dish with foil and send to the preheated oven for half an hour. Then remove the foil and bake the dish for another 5-7 minutes. During this time, the pasta will reach the desired condition - it will not be overcooked, but will reach that very state "by the tooth". And the meat will be saturated with tomato juice and will literally melt in your mouth.
Sprinkle fresh herbs over the baked spaghetti and serve. Parsley, dill or cilantro will pleasantly set off the taste of chicken and pasta. The finished dish is somewhat reminiscent of lasagna. At least to your taste.

Not only meat can act as auxiliary ingredients. Try spaghetti with mushrooms, vegetables, or seafood. There are many successful flavor combinations. Experiment and rediscover good old spaghetti for yourself.
