Prepare these delicious meatballs in tomato sauce for your family. The finished dish can be frozen in a container and stored for up to 4 months. It must be thawed in the refrigerator overnight before consumption, after which it can be reheated in a skillet with water.

It is necessary

  • - 500 g chicken fillet;
  • - 50 g of white bread;
  • - a clove of garlic;
  • - 50 g chives;
  • - 20 g of parsley;
  • - onion head;
  • -2 red peppers;
  • - 400 g of canned tomatoes;
  • - 30 g of oil;
  • - flour for sprinkling;
  • - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;
  • - salt and ground black pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Finely chop the chicken fillet, chives, parsley (leave the leaves for garnish), and onion. Crush the garlic cloves and crumble the white bread. Place chicken, bread crumbs, garlic and seasonings in a bowl, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and mix well. Dip your hands in flour, roll up 12 balls, cover them with a lid and leave to cool for half an hour.

Step 2

Peel and chop red peppers, cut canned tomatoes. Heat olive oil in a frying pan, add onion and pepper, fry for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cooked. Add tomatoes and 300 ml of water. Boil for 10 minutes until thick, then transfer to a food processor and blend until smooth. Season the sauce with salt and pepper and set aside.

Step 3

Melt butter in a clean skillet. Add chicken meatballs and cook over high heat for 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until slightly golden on all sides.

Step 4

Add tomato sauce. Cook for 25 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked and the sauce thickens. Serve hot.
