Ham-stuffed cheese dough cakes cook very quickly. Such a dish is suitable both for breakfast and as an appetizer on a festive table.
- 200-220 ml of kefir
- half a teaspoon of salt
- half a teaspoon of sugar
- half a teaspoon of baking soda
- about 350 grams of finely grated cheese (Gouda, Dutch)
- 350-370 grams of grated ham (or sausage)
- about two glasses of flour
Preparation:
1. Add soda, salt and sugar to kefir and mix.
2. Add flour and about 250 grams of cheese.
3. Divide the finished dough into small portions.
4. Roll each portion a little and put the filling (a mixture of ham and cheese) in the center.
5. Close the flatbreads on top in the manner of khinkali and once again roll them out a little.
6. Fry the resulting cakes in a greased frying pan. Fry over medium heat and covered. As soon as one side is browned, turn the cake over and fry the other side.
7. You can serve such cakes with sour cream, fresh herbs or with any sauce. But they are good on their own, without spices.
