Making khachapuri with your own hands is not so difficult - you can bake them from both puff pastry and butter dough. It is believed that this dish is most delicious if you make khachapuri from puff pastry with salted cheese. If you have no experience with puff pastry, you can bake khachapuri from ordinary unleavened dough. But the taste of the finished dish will be much richer if you decide to cook khachapuri from puff pastry and do not regret the filling.

In order to bake khachapuri from puff pastry, we need: two kilograms of ready-made puff pastry, three eggs, 900 grams of suluguni cheese, three tablespoons of butter, 200 grams of sour cream.

• Defrost the dough and roll it out into a thin layer (the rolled dough should be no more than three millimeters thick).

• Cut the rolled dough into 10 identical squares, and put the filling in the center of each of them - grated cheese, butter mashed with a fork, salt to taste. If desired, you can add finely chopped herbs and other spices to the filling.

• Fold the edges of each square in the shape of an envelope and pinch, then gently press the khachapuri with your palms.

• Roll each square of cheese into a flat circle, the size of which would be the size of the baking dish.

• Lightly sprinkle a baking dish with water and place the khachapuri on it.

• Send the khachapuri dish into an oven preheated to 210 degrees and bake for 15 minutes without reducing the heat.

• Ready-made khachapuri can be lightly anointed with melted butter on top and served hot, after being cut into portions.
