The pancreas is an important organ in the human body. It releases a special substance into the bloodstream - insulin. A deficiency can lead to diabetes. In addition, it secretes certain enzymes directly into the duodenal lumen, without which normal digestion is impossible. In other words, it is a gland of mixed secretion. Its influence on digestion is very great, as well as it is difficult to underestimate the regulation of glucose metabolism.
Instructions
Step 1
Inflammation of the pancreas is called pancreatitis. The cause of this pathology can be diseases of the liver, duodenum, deposition of stones in the biliary tract, atherosclerosis, tuberculosis, syphilis and many other diseases. Pancreatitis is accompanied by symptoms: hiccups, heartburn, bloating, belching, constipation. Pain in the area of the gland, weight loss, jaundice are not uncommon.
Step 2
Due to dysfunction of the pancreas, the body is deprived of the ability to break down fats. Therefore, a person may either have an aversion to fatty foods, or the desire to eat completely disappears. Often, the body and doctors manage to slow down or stop pancreatitis, but there are frequent cases of relapse. They are provoked by alcohol, excessive nutrition, infections, psychological trauma.
Step 3
It is important to remember that a diet for pancreatic disease is not only a treatment, but also a means of prevention. Food should be taken multiple times and in small portions. The amount of fat consumed should be reduced to a minimum. Ideally, breakfast should have something from the following list: cottage cheese, buckwheat, semolina or rice porridge, mashed potatoes, boiled fish or boiled meat, salad, tea with sugar.
Step 4
For lunch, you are allowed to eat soups with vegetables, cereals in not strong broth, berry jelly, compote, berries.
Dinner may include boiled potatoes, fish, vegetable puree, scrambled eggs, porridge (no oil). Before going to bed, low-fat kefir, honey and water will have a positive effect. It is strictly forbidden to consume cold and alcoholic drinks, fried, fatty foods, cakes, pastries. Food should be undersalted.
Step 5
In the acute form of pancreatic disease, the patient should not eat at all for the first three days. The situation is corrected by intravenous nutrition or the introduction of nutrients into the rectum. By the fourth day, low-calorie food is allowed, and after the fifth day, food with a higher calorie content, but in any case within the framework of the diet.
