Millet is well known for its beneficial properties. It promotes the elimination of toxins and toxins from the body, restores the work of the heart, has a general strengthening effect, and is useful for diabetes and atherosclerosis. Millet porridge with carrots and apples
To prepare millet porridge according to this recipe, you will need the following components:
- 300 g of millet;
- 200 g of apples;
- 80 g of carrots;
- 60 honey;
- salt;
- 600 ml of water.
First of all, thoroughly wash and boil the carrots. Pour the groats with hot boiled water, salt and cook. When the millet has absorbed all the water, close the pan tightly with a lid and place in a water bath with mild boiling water for 20 minutes.
Wash, dry and cut the apples into thin slices, peel and grate the boiled carrots or cut into small cubes.
Add prepared apples and carrots to the finished millet porridge, season with honey, mix well and heat over low heat.
You can cook millet porridge only with carrots. This will require:
- 200 g of millet groats;
- 500 ml of water;
- 1 carrot;
- 30 g butter;
- 20 g of sugar;
- salt.
Sort the millet groats and rinse with warm water. Bring the water to a boil, salt to taste and add the prepared cereal. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the porridge thickens. Then transfer to a ceramic pot, cover it with a lid, put it in a preheated oven and bring it to readiness over low heat.
Wash the carrots thoroughly, peel, grate and fry in butter. Combine the finished millet porridge with carrots and mix.
Millet porridge with cottage cheese
To make millet porridge with cottage cheese, you need to take:
- 1 glass of millet;
- 2 ½ glasses of water;
- 200 g of cottage cheese;
- 2 tbsp. l. butter;
- 2 tbsp. l. Sahara;
- salt.
Pour washed millet into boiling salted water and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender within 15-20 minutes. When the porridge thickens, add butter, granulated sugar and cottage cheese. Mix everything well and cook over low heat for another 5 minutes.
After that, cover the pan with a lid, wrap it up with a towel and set for 40-50 minutes to puff.
Millet porridge with fish
To prepare this delicious and nutritious dish, you will need:
- 500 g of millet;
- 500 g of fish (any);
- 2 onions;
- 100 g of fat;
- 30 g of greens;
- Bay leaf;
- black peppercorns;
- salt.
Clean, gut and rinse the fish. Then fill it with cold water, bring to a boil, add bay leaf and pepper. Season with salt to taste and cook until tender. Strain the broth, and finely chop the boiled fish, peeled from skin and bones.
Finely chop the peeled onion and brown in fat. Sort the millet, rinse, fill with strained broth and boil until thickened. Then place in ceramic pots in portions, place in the oven and bring the porridge until cooked. Then add the fried onions and boiled fish, mix everything carefully and heat for a few minutes.
