Liver cake can be made from any liver - beef, pork or chicken, but poultry liver cake turns out to be softer and more tender. Carrots, onions, eggs and mushrooms are often used as filling for liver cake.
Preparation of food
In order to make a liver cake, you will need:
- 800 g chicken liver;
- 3 eggs;
- 3 tbsp. l. flour;
- 150 g mayonnaise;
- 200 g sour cream;
- 3 carrots;
- 3 onions;
- 3-4 cloves of garlic;
- 1 bunch of dill;
- salt.
Cooking liver cake
Wash and peel the carrots, grate the vegetable on a coarse grater. Peel the onions and chop finely. Fry chopped vegetables in vegetable oil until golden brown. Remove from heat and cool.
Rinse the chicken liver under warm water and dry, remove the film, cut the veins. Grind the liver with a blender or scroll through a meat grinder. Add the required amount of flour, eggs, 2 tablespoons of sour cream to the resulting mass, salt.
Bake pancakes from the resulting dough, fry on each side until golden brown. Leave the liver pancakes to cool completely. At this time, mix the remaining sour cream with mayonnaise, chopped herbs and garlic.
Collect the liver cake. Grease the first pancake with sour cream sauce, put the fried vegetables on top, cover the filling with the second pancake. You can decorate the top of the liver cake as you wish. Put the finished cake in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, then serve.
