Rastegai is a traditional Russian dish. They are baked from yeast dough. Meat or fish is used as a filling. You can bake a pie in the shape of a large pie or small pies. Make fish-filled pies. Serve them with vegetable broth and serve up a delicious, hearty meal for your family.

- 200 g carrots;
- 200 g of onions;

Step 1
Pies with fish filling. Peel 2 onions, chop and fry in vegetable oil.
Step 2
Cut 500 g fish fillets into small pieces. Fry them on both sides in vegetable oil.
Step 3
Combine fried fish and onions. Add 0.25 teaspoon black pepper and salt. Mix everything thoroughly. The filling for the pies is ready.
Step 4
Divide 1 kg of yeast dough into small pieces.
Step 5
Roll each piece of yeast dough into a round cake about 15 cm in diameter.
Step 6
Place 2 tablespoons of the filling in the middle of each flatbread.
Step 7
Pinch the edges of the flatbread on both sides so that a top-seam patty is formed. You do not need to pinch the seam in the middle of the pie.
Step 8
Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and place prepared pies on it. Leave them in a warm place for 20-30 minutes to proof.
Step 9
Prepare ice cream with 0.25 glasses of milk, 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar and 1 yolk.
Step 10
Lubricate the pies with a lion and put them in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees. Bake the pies until they are pleasantly golden brown.
Step 11
Make vegetable pie broth. Wash 200 g of carrots and 100 g of celery root, peel and grate on a coarse grater.

Peel and finely chop 200 g of onions. Wash and chop the leeks thoroughly.

Pour 100 g of vegetable oil into a saucepan. Place prepared vegetables in it.

Sauté vegetables for 1 minute. Then pour 2 liters of boiling water over them, bring to a boil and simmer the vegetable broth for 10 minutes.

Strain the vegetable broth, bring it to a boil again, and season with salt to taste.
