The inclusion of dishes from it in the menu promotes the elimination of toxins, improves the functioning of the digestive system and reduces the risk of diseases of the cardiovascular system.
How to cook millet porridge with meat
To prepare a hearty and tasty millet porridge with meat, you will need the following products:
- 1 glass of millet;
- 150 g of beef or pork pulp;
- 2 glasses of water or meat broth;
- 1 onion;
- 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil or lard;
- salt.
Wash the meat thoroughly, dry and cut into small pieces, similar to goulash. Sort the millet and rinse thoroughly, changing the water until it becomes transparent. Peel the onion and chop finely. Heat vegetable oil or lard in a skillet and fry the onions in it until golden brown.
Put millet groats, meat and fried onions in portioned clay pots. Mix everything thoroughly, pour hot boiled water or pre-cooked and strained meat broth. Season with salt to taste.
Place the pots in a preheated oven and simmer the millet porridge with meat over low heat for an hour and a half.
Millet porridge with lamb recipe
To cook millet porridge with lamb, you need to take:
- 400 g of millet;
- 500 g of lamb;
- 3 carrots;
- 3 onions;
- 3 tbsp. l. ghee;
- 2 tbsp. l. tomato paste;
- 2 bay leaves;
- ground black pepper;
- salt.
First of all, rinse the lamb well, cut into small pieces and fry in hot ghee until a delicious crust forms. Finely chop the peeled onions, add to the meat and fry with the lamb.
Wash the carrots thoroughly, peel and grate on a coarse grater. Sort the millet groats and rinse thoroughly until the water is transparent.
Then place the meat in portion pots, salt and pepper to taste. Add bay leaves, carrots, and tomato paste. After that, pour in enough water so that it completely covers all the food, and add millet last.
Cover the pots with lids and place in a preheated oven over medium heat. Cook the lamb millet porridge for an hour and a half.
Recipe for millet porridge with meat in a slow cooker
To prepare millet porridge in a multicooker you will need:
- 2 multi-glasses of millet;
- 600 g of meat;
- 7 multi-glasses of water;
- 1 onion;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 tsp. salt;
- ½ tsp pepper;
- ½ bunch of dill;
- ½ tsp zira;
- 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil.
Rinse the millet well. Wash, dry and cut the meat (pork or beef) into small cubes.
Pour vegetable oil into the removable bowl of the multicooker and put the prepared meat. Then on the panel set the "Baking" mode and the time - 30 minutes.
Peel the onions and carrots. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Add vegetables to meat. Mix everything well and fry with the lid open.
Then add millet, season with salt and spices and cover with water. Cook millet porridge for an hour in Pilaf mode. Garnish with finely chopped dill before serving.
