Cottage cheese with apples is a perfect combination for dessert. And if you add more flour, sugar and eggs, you get a very tasty and tender cake. It can be prepared not only for an ordinary evening tea party, but also put on a festive table.
For the cake, you can choose sweet and sour apple varieties, there are no restrictions for this product. And the cottage cheese should be low-fat and "dry" so that the liquid does not soften the baked goods. The pie will turn out to be tender, moderately sweet and similar to the cake.
To prepare the dish you will need:
- 500 g flour;
- 320 g of sugar (150 g is added to proteins, 90 g - to cottage cheese and dough);
- 6 eggs;
- 4 apples of any kind;
- 500 g of cottage cheese;
- 1 sachet of baking powder and vanillin;
- 300 g margarine.
First, prepare the dough, as it should stand in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. For this, the whites are separated from the yolks. Put soft margarine, 90 g of sugar in a bowl with 3 yolks and grind thoroughly, then pour the sifted flour, baking powder and vanillin, mix gently. The dough is placed in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, while apples and curd mass are prepared. To do this, rub the cottage cheese through a sieve, add 90 g of sugar and the remaining yolks to it, mix well. Apples are washed and cut into thin slices.
Grease a baking sheet with butter and evenly lay out the dough to make a neat layer, spread the cottage cheese next, and on top of the apple pieces. The cake is baked in the oven at 200 degrees for 25 minutes. At this time, whisk the whites with sugar to make a strong foam. Then spread the protein mass on a hot cake and bake for another 10 minutes.
When the pie with cottage cheese and apples has cooled, it is decorated with pieces of fruit and berries. Pastries can be served immediately or refrigerated for several hours.
