For dinner, it is recommended to prepare any light meals that will not leave a heavy feeling in the stomach. So, for example, you can cook dietary mackerel with lemon and onions for dinner. Moreover, you can easily cook such delicious fish in a microwave oven, and this process will take very little time.
To cook mackerel with lemon and onion in a microwave oven, you will need the following set of products:
- Provencal herbs (to taste);
- defrosted mackerel carcass (two pieces);
- freshly ground pepper;
- rock salt;
- vegetable deodorized oil (1 tbsp. spoon);
- lemon with a thin skin (half of the fruit);
- onions of medium size (1 head).
First, you should defrost both mackerel carcasses, then process the fish. This means that it is necessary to cut off the head first, then cut its abdomen with a sharp knife and thoroughly clean the inside. Once the mackerel carcasses have been properly processed, rinse them additionally in cool running water.
Next, you need to remove all bones, especially the smallest ones. This can be done with clean tweezers. In addition, the ridge must be removed very carefully.
Peel the onions, rinse them, cut them thinly into half rings, and cut the lemon into rings.
The prepared fish fillet must be seasoned with pepper, then salt, sprinkled with Provencal aromatic herbs. Put on top of the seasoned fish fillet, first the lemon rings together with the onion half rings. Next, we fold the fish, carefully move it into a special heat-resistant form, sprinkle it with a small amount of deodorized vegetable oil on top. Place the prepared mackerel with lemon and onion in the microwave and bake at maximum power for fifteen minutes.
