"Nutella" is a trademark of the sweet chocolate-nut spread of the Italian firm Ferrero, which produces sweets and candies. Nutella toast is a common children's morning breakfast in the United States. This paste is also sold in Russia in many confectionery stores. It is spread on bread, and also used for filling and decorating confectionery.
Cooking "nutella" at home
Ferrero has been producing Nutella chocolate-nut spread since 1964. In the beginning, the paste included peanut butter, which is very popular abroad. But, perhaps, because peanut butter causes allergies in many, or for some other reason, manufacturers subsequently replaced it with palm oil.
It is convenient to use ready-made pasta to make a dessert, or to stuff pancakes, cakes with it, or decorate a cake.
You can make Nutella paste yourself at home, but you don't have to look for palm oil for this, you can use regular butter. In the original recipe, the paste contains hazelnuts, but both peanuts and walnuts will work. Homemade pasta will be tastier and healthier than an industrial product - without preservatives, dyes and other additives.
Nutella paste is not recommended for people with nut or milk allergies. It is a fatty, high-calorie product with a high sugar content, so it is undesirable for children and overweight people to eat it in large quantities.
Before making the "Nutella" paste, you need to peel the kernels of hazelnuts from the husk, and then grind them in a blender or nut grinder. If you use peanuts or walnuts, it is recommended to pre-roast them in the oven.
