Sometimes you want to surprise your family with something unusual, in such a situation you can cook onion pancakes. Lovers of tasty things will appreciate such pancakes and the hostess will certainly take such a recipe into service.
Ingredients:
- Onions - 3 pcs;
- Chicken cube - 1 pc;
- Egg - 1 pc;
- Water - 250 ml;
- Dry yeast - ½ pack.
- Sugar - 1 tsp for fermentation.
- Flour - 300 g;
- Vegetable oil.
Preparation:
- Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. The onion should be chopped, not chopped in a blender. Break an egg into a deep cup, add the crumbled chicken cube and sugar to it. Beat everything well.
- Then add yeast previously diluted in warm water to the beaten egg with a pinch of sugar for fermentation. Mix everything again, and pour in the remaining water, add chopped onion.
- Gradually adding flour, stir the mixture until a homogeneous mass is formed. After the dough has been kneaded, let it sit for a while in the warmth. When the dough has approximately doubled in volume, you can bake the pancakes. If desired, you can add some chopped spicy herbs to the dough.
- Pour oil into a frying pan and heat it on the stove. Put the dough in the heated oil with a tablespoon, moisten it in water, and fry on each side until golden brown. Put the hot pancakes on a paper napkin or towel so that the glass will have excess oil.
- If you don't want too fatty pancakes, you can add oil to the dough and fry them without adding oil to the pan. Then the pancakes are drier. You can not fry the pancakes, but bake in the oven, then you get onion buns that your family will certainly like. Serve hot pancakes with chicken broth or sour cream.
