Of course, it is much faster and easier to toss frozen patties from the nearest supermarket into the pan. But homemade cutlets differ from ready-made semi-finished products in one undoubted advantage: you can cook them from those products that suit you.
It is necessary
-
- 500 grams of meat;
- 2 onions;
- 200 grams of bread;
- 1 egg;
- 0.5 cups of milk;
- salt;
- ground black pepper;
- breadcrumbs.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to cook minced meat, cut the meat into oblong, not very thick pieces no more than ten centimeters long. Rotate the meat through a meat grinder. If you have a well-sharpened kitchen knife, finely chop the meat into minced meat using the knife. Cutlets made from such minced meat will be much tastier than those made from meat turned through a meat grinder.
Step 2
Cut the onions into quarters and also roll them through a meat grinder so that you get a homogeneous onion puree without chunks. Beat the onions in a blender.
Step 3
Cut off the crusts from slightly stale bread and soak in milk. Combine minced meat with onion puree, add soaked bread. Salt the minced meat, sprinkle with ground black pepper and mix well.
Step 4
Form the patties. To do this, scoop the minced meat with a tablespoon, place it in the palm of your hand and throw it from hand to hand several times, squeezing and patting slightly. To prevent the minced meat from sticking to your hands during this operation, periodically moisten your hands with cold water.
Dip the cutlets in breadcrumbs, place in a preheated skillet with butter and fry until tender. The finished cutlets should be grayish in cross-section.
