Strudel is a fairly easy-to-make but delicious baked product that can be made from almost any dough. I offer you a variant of a curd strudel with apples, raisins and nuts.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - cottage cheese - 300 g;
- - flour - 300 g;
- - butter - 150 g;
- - sugar - 2 tablespoons;
- - vanillin - a pinch;
- - salt - a pinch.
- For filling:
- - large apples - 3-4 pcs.;
- - sugar - 3 tablespoons;
- - rum - 1 tablespoon;
- - raisins - a handful;
- - walnuts - a handful;
- - crushed cookies - a handful;
- - cinnamon stick.
- Additionally:
- - egg - 1 pc.;
- - vegetable oil - 1 teaspoon;
- - icing sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
Put the cottage cheese in a deep bowl, crush it with a fork, then add ingredients such as granulated sugar, vanillin and salt to it. Then add warm pre-melted butter and carefully sifted wheat flour there. Knead the curd dough and put it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours, placing it in a plastic bag.
Step 2
After washing the apples thoroughly, cut them, without removing the skin, into small cubes. Next, place the chopped fruit in a fairly deep skillet and mix together with the cinnamon stick, butter, and granulated sugar. Place this mixture over medium heat and cook, stirring continuously, for 3 minutes.
Step 3
After washing the raisins thoroughly, let them dry completely. Chop the walnuts into fairly small pieces with a knife, and place the cookies in a small bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Mix all 3 ingredients together.
Step 4
Add rum to the apple mixture. Cook the mass for a few more minutes. After the time has passed, remove it from the stove, remove the cinnamon stick and add a dry mixture of cookies, nuts and raisins. Mix everything as it should. The filling for the curd strudel is ready.
Step 5
Having rolled the chilled curd dough into a layer, put the resulting filling on one of its edges in an even layer. Then, gently tucking the edges, wrap it like a roll.
Step 6
Place parchment paper greased with sunflower oil on a baking tray, and on it lay the curd strudel with apples, raisins and nuts. Brush the surface of the future dessert with a pre-beaten chicken egg.
Step 7
Bake the dish, preheating the oven to 180 degrees, for 30-40 minutes. Then remove the baked goods from the oven, cool until warm and cut into small pieces with a knife. Curd strudel with apples, raisins and nuts is ready! Garnish with powdered sugar if desired.
