Glazed Cherry Pie is an exquisite dessert that is quick and easy to prepare. The pre-purchased ready-made dough speeds up its cooking process. Such a cake, which has a special taste and aroma, will help to decorate a family evening.
It is necessary
- - 2 sheets of ready-made puff pastry
- 6 cups pitted sour cherries (fresh or frozen)
- - 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- - juice of half a lemon
- - a pinch of salt
- Glaze:
- - 1 cup of sugar
- - 1-2 tablespoons of milk
- - 1-2 tablespoons of water
Instructions
Step 1
For the pie filling, take a large bowl and combine cherries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and salt in it. Mix all ingredients until smooth and set aside.

On a floured work surface, place the finished puff pastry, forming a 45 x 30 cm rectangle from it.

Then transfer the dough to a baking sheet and spread half of the cherry filling on top and set aside.

Place a second sheet of puff pastry on the floured surface and also form a 45 x 30 cm rectangle.

Place on top of the remaining filling and squeeze the edges tightly.

Next, pierce the dough with a fork and brush with a beaten egg.

Bake the pie in the oven until golden brown and until the filling begins to bubble. Then set aside and let cool.

To make the icing, in a bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, milk and water until the desired icing consistency is achieved.
Step 9
Apply the glaze in a thin layer with a spoon on the baked goods as shown in the photo.
Step 10
Serve the cherry pie warm or chilled to room temperature.
