Tomato and Cheese Pie is a delicious cornmeal pastry that can also be served as a main course with sour cream or sauce. To make the cake look more beautiful, you can use different colored tomatoes.
It is necessary
- - 2 tomatoes;
- - 1 glass of corn flour;
- - 3/4 cup thick sour cream;
- - 150 g of grated cheese;
- - 150 g of boiled corn kernels;
- - 2/3 cup milk;
- - 1/2 cup wheat flour;
- - 1/4 cup granulated sugar;
- - 6 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
- - 1/2 tsp. baking soda;
- - 1/2 tsp. salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a bowl and combine the cornmeal, wheat flour, salt, and baking soda in it. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. In another container, mix sour cream, milk, boiled corn grains and vegetable oil, stir the mass, and then add the flour mixture to it. Stir the dough, add the grated cheese into it and mix everything again.
Step 2
Take a deep cast iron skillet and brush it with a little oil. Pour the dough into the pan, sprinkle with grated cheese on top if desired. Wash the tomatoes and cut into slices. Place them on top of the cake.
Step 3
Heat the oven to 200 degrees, place the pie in it and bake it for 40 minutes. After the time has elapsed, remove the baked goods from the oven and let cool.
