Indian dhal soup is popular not only in its homeland, but also in Europe and America. This hot dish has a bright appearance and spicy taste.
It is necessary
- - 1/2 tsp. ground chili
- - 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- - 2 cloves of garlic
- - 1 kg of canned tomatoes
- - 500 ml of broth
- - 1 head of onion
- - lemon juice
- - 1 tbsp. red lentils
- - 1 cucumber
- - salt
- - ground black pepper
- - fresh herbs
- - vegetable oil
Instructions
Step 1
Thoroughly chop the garlic and onion and fry in vegetable oil. Add all the necessary spices - chili, black pepper, turmeric. Fry the mixture for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Transfer the onion mixture to a small saucepan. Pour in the broth and finely chopped tomatoes. Rinse the lentils in cold water and add to the main mixture 10 minutes after boiling.
Step 3
When the lentils are tender, add lemon juice and chopped herbs to the soup. Season with salt to taste, if necessary. Dhal can be seasoned with sour cream before serving. Place a small amount of chopped cucumber in each plate.
