It is necessary

  • - 300 grams of minced meat (a mixture of pork and chicken);
  • - one egg;
  • - 1/2 cup rice;
  • - one medium-sized carrot;
  • - 1/2 cup semolina;
  • - a tablespoon of vegetable oil;
  • - 1/2 cup tomato paste;
  • - glass of water;
  • - salt and pepper (to taste);
  • - Bay leaf.

Instructions

Step 1

Take rice and rinse it well in cold water. Pour water (about 700 ml) into a saucepan, bring it to a boil and add the rice. Season with salt, stir and cook for 10 minutes (this is enough time to cook the rice until half cooked).

Throw the rice in a colander, let the water drain and the cereal to cool.

Step 2

Peel the onions and carrots, rinse the vegetables, then grate the carrots and chop the onions as finely as possible. Put the minced meat, egg, cooled rice, onions and carrots in a deep bowl, salt and pepper, mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

Step 3

Pour semolina onto a flat plate. Collect the required amount of minced meat with a tablespoon (if you want to make small meatballs, then it is better to take the minced meat with a teaspoon), form a ball and roll it in semolina. Thus, make meatballs from all the minced meat (semolina can be replaced with bread crumbs).

Step 4

Lubricate the bottom of the multicooker bowl with vegetable oil, lay out the meatballs, trying to put them as tightly as possible. Close the lid of the multicooker and set the "baking" mode for about 15 minutes (this is required so that the meatballs brown slightly and do not fall apart during stewing).

Step 5

Mix water with tomato paste (water can be replaced with meat broth), salt and add bay leaf. Pour the meatballs with this mixture, close the lid of the multicooker and set the "stewing" program for 40 minutes. Meatballs with rice in a slow cooker are ready, you can serve them with any side dish.
